Guest Blog: PEACHY TIME TO GO SVØMNING WITH KONFIDENCE

For a quarter of a century, Konfidence has been helping youngsters all over the world feel safe and secure in the water while they learn how to swim, and in recent years their British-designed swimwear has become increasingly popular with parents in Scandinavia.  

In response and following consumer feedback in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, Konfidence has created two new pretty ‘Danish Pastel’ colour designs for its eco-friendly e-Flex™ swimwear collection, which features the Splashy™ Swimsuit and Warma™ Swimsuit.  This also extends to the multi-award-winning Splashy™ Swim Nappy, which at the 2022 Organic Baby Awards received Gold for Best Swim Nappy and Silver for Best Eco-Friendly Innovation, and has just been honoured with a silver award in the Made for Mums 2023 baby & children’s swimwear category.

​The Splashy™ and Warma™ range of swimming nappies, swimsuits and wetsuits are made from Konfidence’s own environmentally-friendly e-Flex™ material, which provides an eco-alternative to neoprene - a man-made rubber with an oil-based derivative - which baby swimwear products, like swim nappies and baby wetsuits have been traditionally made from.  Konfidence’s e-Flex™ material combines nylon, polyester and recycled plastic, and replicates many of the characteristics of neoprene; it offers the wearer comfort, support, flexibility and security, but crucially it is a material that is environmentally kinder to the planet - plus e-Flex™ has all the same UV sun protection properties on covered areas and the swimwear is priced the same, if not less, than similar quality neoprene products.

​The new Splashy™ and Warma™ Scandinavia inspired designs, which are available at www.konfidence.co.uk, come in a choice of pastel jade or peach – Baltic styles that are considered to be both soothing and optimistic. With the swimwear being holiday essentials too, Konfidence has also named the colours after two beautiful holiday locations in Scandinavia - Mjelle (jade) in Norway and Skane (peach) in Sweden.  

​The new Baltic styles also extends to the company’s iconic Original Konfidence Swim Jacket, which has been helping children aged 18 months to 7 years all over the world learn to swim safely and with confidence learn for the last 25 years.  With this, Konfidence is keenly looking forward to this year’s Bambini awards, with the British-designed swim buoyancy aid entered into the Best Swimming Product and Best Baby Travel Product categories because it allows children, especially when on holiday, to have fun in the water when playing with older siblings or friends, as the extra buoyancy helps to safeguard them if they get tired.
